Hello and thanks for visiting! Welcome to Undergarments for Everyone, the blog where you can find details of the campaign by University of the West of England graduate Ed Tolkien to raise money in order to buy new underwear for homeless people in Bristol. Keep an eye out for my series of collection boxes; one situated at UWE’s Bower Ashton campus, and one at the Treasure Stokes Croft charity shop. The funds I collect I am using to buy brand new pants and socks to donate to two of Bristol’s homelessness charities: St Mungo’s in Stokes Croft, and the Julian Trust Night Shelter in St Pauls. This campaign follows my project entitled Warm Clothes, where I collected donations of hats, scarves and gloves etc. for homeless people over the the month of December 2011. After talking to people on the streets, the type of garments they said were most difficult to come by was underwear. So here we are!
